THEN: The Earlier Years is a compilation of TMBG's earlier work. It combines The Pink Album, Lincoln, and Misc. T, PLUS some more rare bonus tracks unheard by many TMBG fans. It its a Two CD Set, as you can see by the CD Photo's, and contains a LOT of text. The inside booklet is described below. To the left is CD 1, to the right is CD 2.

To the left is the cover of the booklet included in the THEN CD case. If you've ever been to tmbg.com and looked at the merchandise there, you might think that the bird in this picture is familiar. It is in fact, the same bird that you see on many TMBG products. The artist who does these pictures is Tony Millionaire. He is also the same artist who depicted John & John in the year 2040, and created the TMBG tattoo shirt.

On the back of the booklet is the picture to the right. This art is all by Tony Millionaire. In fact, inside the liner notes it says:

Inside the booklet is a letter from the Johns describing their origin and the origins of all the albums, all the lyrics to all the songs, lots of photo's from TMBG's past, and all the artwork from all the albums and singles released during that time.
